SAFFY’S ANGEL, by Hilary McKay

Can you be an outsider in your own family?

Can you be an outsider in your own family?

Have you ever felt like you didn’t belong – even in your own family?

By accident, Saffron discovers that she’s adopted, and her whole life changes – even though the family she’s always known stays the same (and as wacky as always).   Then Grandfather dies, and Saffy’s left an angel in his will.  But … where is it?  Saffy needs to know so she’ll understand who she really is.  With the help of family and friends, Saffy ends up on a overseas journey that brings her back home in more ways than one.

Even though it sounds serious, this is a really fun book!  Saffy’s family is quirky and there’s always something crazy going on.

There’s a book about every member of Saffy’s off-beat family, so if you like Saffy’s Angel, check out Indigo’s Star, Permanent Rose, and Caddy Ever After.
