Middle School / Books Rule!
Recommended books for grades 5-8

Wanna slice?

Wanna slice?

Is it a graphic novel?  Is it a scrapbook?  Is it a diary?  The answer is – yes!!! Here’s a fun look at a seventh grader’s life, complete with to-do lists, instant messages, Post-it notes, report cards, newspaper clippings, school assignments, letters and a bank balance that’s always $5, no matter how many deposits she makes.  Ginny makes some goals for the year – like “get a new dad” – but when things don’t turn out quite like she expects, she makes lemonade out of the lemons … and checks her text messages.  If you’ve ever wondered whether that once-creepy boy could (1) actually become hot, or (2) turn into a boyfriend someday, you need a helping of Meatloaf!

Remember Baby Mouse graphic novels from grade school?  Jennifer Holm is also the creator of the mouse that rocks.
